To make sure your wolf belongs where they should be, we've supplied a general view of what each pack's personality type has to do with. ( This is /not/ plot-related. )
E N G A L I - xx. The Engali are wolves that are much more focused on intelligence than anything else. They value their superior wit and knowledge more than brute strength, because it can be just as useful. There are no defining bodily characteristics of the Engali, they can be just as large and brawny as a Parodi, but it is drilled into their heads since birth that knowledge is the only power worth having.
They are not superstitious at all, and find it hard to believe in any sort of supernatural power beyond their own understanding and logic. The Engali reason hat if something happens, there is always a reason. They are a very fair people, and if a wolf commits a crime, the leader will be fair in his/her punishment, regardless of their relationship with the wolf.
When hunting, they are careful and methodical, instead of rushing in immediately to get the advantage. This means that they may not eat as quickly as another pack, but most certainly do not have a high rate of miss. Each wolf is assigned a job to do, and if they do not perform that task, they will be punished.
The Engali tend to be strict, but they are rather adventurous. In their pursuit of the unknown, they have often pushed their own limits too far. However, they do appreciate leisure time, and while laziness is looked down upon, they will take time to simply enjoy life.
( By no means does your wolf have to fit all of these requirements to be an Engali. They must only agree with the pack's coda. )
RANKS - Words in bold are the pack equivalent of the word in parenthesis. For instance, the Engali leader, or alpha, is called a Harbringer. But in Parodi, the leader is called the General.
( Alpha ) - Harbringer
( Beta ) - Delegate
( Warrior ) - Nightmare
( Hunter ) - Bloodbane
( Pup or Elder ) - Scrap
P A R O D I - xx. The Parodi are much more focused on their fighting skills than the logic behind it. Most of their free time is spent training, not wondering about the way the world works, like the Engali. Parodi are usually singly focused and have a desire to accomplish one task before moving onto the next. This is also their fighting style- they are tenacious and will wear down their opponent instead of using strategy.
They tend to be quite superstitious, and take many different things to be signs. Because of their training and focus on war, they usually approach their fears head-on or ignore them entirely.
The Parodi are very closely-knit. One wouldn't call the Engali separate, but they are intensely loyal to their own pack, not factions within a pack. They are strongly emotionally driven, so if a wolf commits a crime, if he is in good standing with the pack, he will be punished only lightly.
When hunting, they use strategy, but to a point. they pick out the weakest in the group and signal the others to attack, attempting to drive down the beast with sheer force. However, this means that when they use these small spurts of energy, they bring down their kill quicker.
As the Parodi enjoy their free time, much of it is spent exploring or simply being int he company of their friends. They will pursue frivolous courses of action simply for entertainment, and often disregard the consequences of their actions.
( Alpha ) - General
( Beta ) - Second-in-Command
( Warrior ) - Major
( Hunter ) - Minor
( Pup or Elder ) - Recruit
No pack is superior to another - they are just different. We encourage you to have wolves in both packs, instead of getting their loyalties confused with yours. (: [/blockquote]
